Santa Fe, NM
On Saturday, May 20, I’ll give an all-day workshop “Murder & Mayhem: The World of Mystery, Crime, and Thriller Writing.” It’s part of the Santa Fe Writers Lab and takes place in a building that looks onto the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains here in New Mexico. New York City
For details, Google “Thrillerfest 2017”. This yearly International Thriller Writers conference will showcase MATCH-UP, an anthology of thriller stories written by bestselling female and male authors in collaboration with each other. My contribution, with Gayle Lynds (who co-founded International Thriller Writers with me), is “Rambo on Their Minds,” in which Rambo makes an appearance and yet doesn’t. You’ll understand what I mean when you read the story. Lee Child will receive this year’s Thriller Master award. All the contributors to MATCH-UP will attend the conference and be featured on panels. This is a star-studded event.
Bouchercon (the world’s largest convention of crime-fiction readers and authors)
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Having grown up in the Toronto area, I’m looking forward to returning for this special event. Google “Bouchercon 2017” to sign up. (Last year, Bouchercon gave me its Lifetime Achievement Award.)
Florida Writers’ Association
On Thursday, Oct. 18, I’ll give an all-day writers’ workshop at the Florida Writers’ Association annual conference. The next day, Friday, Oct. 19, I’ll be featured in an on-stage interview and will probably be on a panel. The conference continues through Sunday, but I won’t be there for the rest of it. Details to follow.
